ICMR-Regional Medical Research Centre, Bhubaneswar launched Master in Public Health (MPH) programme in the year 2017 and currently running it’s 5th batch. The announcement for admission of MPH programme for the academic year 2023-24 (i.e., 6thcohort)will be announced  in July 2023 and the academic session will commence from September 2023. The annual intake is 30 students, out of which one-third (10 seats) will be reserved for ICMR in-house candidates.

Our Master in Public Health (MPH) is a two-year classroom-based post-graduate degree course(comprising 18 months of course work and six-month dissertation/thesis work) under Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. The aim is to create a skilled and efficient cohort of trained professionals to meet and exceed the public health research requirements of academia and the policy practice ecosystem. Towards this, our studentscome from diverse disciplinesnamely medical, dental, nursing, and allied health sciences, behavioural and social sciences as well as biological and other related sciences. The degree will be awarded by Utkal University, a NAAC-accreditedpremier state universityunder the Department of Higher Education, Government of Odisha. This program is in alignment with ICMR and DHR’s mandate of building capacity and capability in the area of humanhealth researchand health human resources development in India.
